35mm film scan - Ilford Delta 400, shot @ 1600

Model: ~FrenzyModel
MUA (black eye): ~Battledress
Shot at Adam Chilson's studio (*Doomsday-Dawn), Hesperia, CA
May 24, 2008

This shot is from our theme day at Adam's place a couple of weeks ago. I shot more candids than actual posed images, and a few of them, like this one, really ended up having a lot of character as b/w portraits.

More images from this day can be found on the studio's forums, here: [link] , and on my own web site album, here: [link] .

See comment on the other photo - exact same file. Maybe because of the grey instead of white page background... or maybe dA compression, not sure.
colours, how the eye reacts to them. 6-;

Yep. It's an interesting phenomenon. I've been known to alter levels slightly for display on black, compared to white and grey. It has to look right compared to what it's viewed against.
Its all about the optical sensory of the 'lights' and 'darks' entering the eye, similar to the aperture of a camera.

Makes sense. I think the eyes and the camera just function a little bit differently, hence not always seeing what we expected in a photo.
exactly. (-;

Trailer trash comes way, way, way too naturally to Chris. Bit terrifying, actually.
I think he's just a really good actor! Trailer trash, pretty goth boy, high fashion guy, surfer dude... we're just seeing him be way too versatile!
