There is SO MUCH in the works at the studio right now.  Thanks to the fantastic donation of a lovely daybed from ~Zathros and `Battledress, Studio B has a new boudoir set under construction.  This set will be a permanent fixture, available to all who shoot in that room for events and regular bookings, included in the $20/hr rental rate.

I've been booked in the past couple of months to teach quite a number of private sessions of the much-loved Intro to Studio Photo Shooting class, on top of the monthly group session.  Lighting Practice Sessions with ~HourglassDeviant modeling are back in the schedule starting this month.  The monthly Studio devMEET/Open House event continues - now for well over 4 years running!  And there is another major workshop just about to be announced for July 1, plus a possible bodyscape mini-workshop on the way for June.

On the music side, I am actually playing with a forming band again.  The drummer and other guitarist have a really good catalog of completed and in-progress songs from their years of playing together.  We're practicing once a week and looking for a bass player and vocalist to complete our lineup.  We gave an informal performance of our 'set' at the April Open House, and general consensus is that even in incomplete form, the songs have a really great vibe.  Needless to say, I agree, and that's why I'm really enjoying being a part of the project!

So - here's the rundown on May's regular monthly events, and the additional special event photography workshops will get their own announcements in the next couple of weeks or so.

This class repeats monthly, presenting the basics of studio strobes, wireless sync, manual camera settings, and interfacing the camera with studio lighting gear.  This class is aimed toward photographers who are just starting out, or those whose past experience lies in outdoor/available light shooting rather than studio photography.
